How to bypass DMARC in Private Email service in Name Cheap

Synopsis:

This document is specifically for customers using Private email service from Name Cheap where most, if not all, the incoming messages get rejected by Dmarc.

 

Cause:

In NameCheap’s Private email service the Anti-spoofing feature is enable by default and it is causing most/All messages to be rejected with Error:

Last delivery response: host server.mail.com[1.1.1.1] said: 554 5.7.1 DMARC policy rejected (in reply to end of DATA command)

  

Resolution:

The only solution is to disable the Anti-spoofing on your name cheap private email service, to do so you need to: 

    1. Sign in to your Namecheap account

    2. Go to Domain List menu on your left and click on caret to expand the associated services list

     (make sure All Products is selected in the top right corner):


    3. Look for your Private Email subscription in the list and click on Manage next to it:


    4. Look for Email Security section and uncheck the box option Anti-Spoof Filter to disable it: 


 

Important:
Please make sure to allow enough time for the changes to take effect (max 1 hour) before you make another test.
