Synopsis
This document is to explain what are the limits for incoming/outgoing mail to reach before the system starts throttling/rejecting the sender (Unregistered/registered users) from sending mail.
INBOUND limits: THROTTLE delivery one hit |
- For registered accounts, it is 200 messages in 60 seconds.
- For unregistered accounts in a domain there is a 500 message limit in 60 seconds (at the domain level).
- Unregistered accounts are those added by SMTP Discovery feature prior to being added as a user
- Unregistered accounts are those added by SMTP Discovery feature prior to being added as a user
OUTBOUND limits: REJECT once hit |
- Standard Users:
- Permitted to send out 500 emails over a 10 minute period, or
- 2500 emails over a 24 hour period
(All users are created by default as 'Standard Users').

- Bulk Sending Users:
- Permitted to send out 2,000 emails over a 10 minute period, or
- 10,000 per day over a 24 hour period.
10-minute period is a rolling 10 minutes
24-hour period resets at Midnight UTC
